Padparadscha Sapphire 5.10ct

padparadscha · 5.10 ct · Sri Lanka, Embilipitiya · certified by GRS — fractional on-chain ownership on CaratShares.

Padparadscha sapphire of 5.10 carats — exceptionally large for the type — sourced from the Embilipitiya region of Sri Lanka. The name comes from the Sinhalese word for the lotus flower; only stones falling within a narrow pink-orange range qualify for the designation under GRS, Gübelin, and SSEF criteria. Untreated. The colour displays the soft transition between salmon-pink and orange that defines the species, with the gentle internal glow that the cushion cut amplifies under daylight. Stones above 5 carats with proper padparadscha colour are essentially absent from the modern market in any single piece. GRS report 34782 confirms padparadscha grade and untreated status. Authenticated padparadscha appears at international auction only a handful of times each year; a 5.10ct example is a generational find.
