Madagascar demantoid of 3.10 carats from the Antetezambato deposit — the source discovered in 2009 that now produces some of the cleanest demantoid available, with the deeper saturation (and absence of horsetails) that distinguishes Madagascan material from Russian. The oval cut runs the deep green axis along the long dimension. Untreated. Internally flawless to 10× — Madagascan material trends cleaner than Russian, lacking the horsetail byssolite that gives the latter its origin signature. The high dispersion (0.057) produces visible rainbow fire in any directional light. AGL report 1109003 confirms Madagascan origin and natural untreated status.
