Mandarin spessartine garnet of 4.80 carats from the Loliondo deposit — the East African source whose stones replaced Namibian Kunene as the world reference for vivid orange spessartine after 1991. Cut as a trillion (triangular brilliant) to push the saturation into all three corners. Untreated, internally flawless. The colour is the textbook "mandarin" — a pure orange with no brown, no red, no yellow drift. Spessartines below this saturation grade trade in the lower hundreds; the mandarin grade is the apex tier. GIA report 5219448102 confirms natural spessartine of Loliondo character. Vivid mandarin spessartine above 4 carats has traded $4,500-$6,000 per carat at AGTA shows and specialist garnet auctions.
