Welo opal of 7.30 carats — the Ethiopian source that arrived on the international market in 2008 and now produces some of the brightest play-of-colour ever seen in commercial opal. The free-form cut preserves maximum colour-play area at the expense of geometric symmetry — the conventional trade-off for top opal material.
The play-of-colour spans the full visible spectrum — red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet — across a white base body. Untreated, non-stabilised, hydrophane (the standard property of Welo material). No colour modification of any kind.
